Model UN is an extracurricular activity where students represent countries or people in discussions and debates over major issues, simulating how the United Nations conduct debate. While it began exclusively as simulating United Nations bodies and countries with delegations to those bodies, it has expanded to cover other international bodies, various international disputes across time, and even fictional events. Through Model UN, high school students can meet other like-minded people, develop skills from research to public speaking, learn about international relations and politics, and enjoy themselves.
